Curious about what it’s like to serve with us? This section answers the most common questions about volunteering with Oasis Community Outreach & Cafe and Niecy’s Hope for Kings and Queens—covering who can volunteer, what to expect, how to get started, and more. Explore below to learn how you can make a meaningful impact in our community.
Anyone age 16 and older is welcome to volunteer. Volunteers under 18 must have parental consent. We welcome individuals, groups, students, and community service participants who have a heart to serve.
No experience is necessary. We provide basic orientation and on-the-job guidance to ensure you feel comfortable and supported in your volunteer role.
Volunteer roles may include food preparation and service, community outreach, organizing supplies, assisting with events, mentoring youth, or general support based on current needs.
Volunteers should wear clean, modest, and comfortable clothing appropriate for the activity. Closed-toe shoes are required. T-shirts branded with Oasis or Niecy’s Hope are encouraged and required for paid contractors.
Start by completing the volunteer interest form and waiver. Please note: the waiver must be completed and received before any volunteer application can be approved. Once both are submitted, our team will contact you with available dates and opportunities to get involved.
